Privacy Policy

The Business Cartel NSW Pty Ltd (ABN 59 878 848 422), trading as The Business Cartel ("we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and the "Before You Build" worksheet, how we use it, and your choices. Last updated: 14 October 2026.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The Business Cartel NSW Pty Ltd, 3 Hanley St, Wallsend NSW 2287. Email: [email protected]. Phone: +61 432 616 323. Privacy enquiries and complaints go to Matt Ninness at the email above.

2. What we collect

  • Your first name and email address, when you request the worksheet.
  • Your consent choice for marketing emails, and the date and time you gave it.
  • If you book a discovery call through Calendly: your name, email, the time you booked, and anything you write in the booking form.
  • Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and pages visited. We use only essential cookies, which our pages and booking tool need to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies or pixels.
  • If you contact us or follow our social media pages: what you send us.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health or financial account details. Please do not send it to us.

3. How we collect it

Directly from you, when you fill in our form, book a call, or email or message us. Essential cookies on our pages and in our booking tool also collect basic technical data automatically.

4. Why we collect and use it

  • To send you the worksheet you asked for.
  • To run and manage the discovery call you book.
  • If you tick the consent box: to send you emails about business strategy, our courses (including Idea to Launch) and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To meet our legal obligations and improve our website and services.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you consent. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we action unsubscribes within 5 business days. You can also email us to opt out. If you do not tick the consent box, we only send you the email delivering the worksheet.

6. Who we share it with

We use service providers to run our business. They handle your information only for those purposes:

  • GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.), which hosts our forms, contact records and email sending. HighLevel is based in the United States and may store and transfer information in the United States and other countries.
  • Calendly, for booking calls. Calendly stores booking information in the United States.
  • Google Workspace, for our business email. Google may store information in data centres in several countries.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information appropriately.

8. Storage, security and how long we keep it

Information we hold ourselves is stored on a secure, password protected drive, under Australian and NSW regulatory requirements. Information in the systems above is held by those providers and protected by passwords and access controls. A two-step verification process is required to access all private information. How long we keep it: If you subscribe to our emails, we keep your first name, email address and the record of your consent (when and how you agreed) for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away and keep only your email address on a suppression list so we do not email you again, plus the consent record for 2 years in case we need to show we had permission. If you join our list or complete the worksheet but never become a customer, we delete or de-identify your details after 24 months without any contact or engagement from you. Calendly booking details and business emails are kept for 2 years after the last contact, unless they relate to a paying customer. Invoices, payment and other business records, including customer details on them, are kept for 7 years, which covers the 5 year minimum tax record rule. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it. When we delete something, we also remove it from the systems listed above where we can.

9. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. If you think we have breached your privacy, email us with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate and reply in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
